CITY OF MILACA PUBLIC NOTICE — PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Milaca Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. for amending Ordinance #558 to amend B-2, General Business District allowing Licensed Daycares and to approve Conditional Use Permit for Home Occupation for Adult Foster Care.  All persons interested are invited to attend said public hearing.

Milaca Minnesota 56353.  Emailed comments may be submitted to City Manager Tammy Pfaff at tpfaff@milacacity.com. Submit written or emailed comments prior to August 10, 2026, 4:30 p.m.

FILING AFFIDAVITS OF CANDIDACY

The first day of filing affidavits of candidacy for a statutory city general election is July 14, 2026. The last day for filing is July 28, 2026. Candidates must complete an affidavit of candidacy application and pay the $2.00 filing fee at the time of filing. Affidavits of candidacy applications will be accepted at Milaca City Hall, 255 First Street East, Milaca Minnesota, during the regular business hours as Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Fridays until 1:30 p.m. On July 28^th city hall will be open until 5:00 p.m. to accept affidavits of candidacy applications.

Positions open for filing are as follows:

One Mayor (two year term)
Two Council Members (four year terms)
